On Anti-Corruption Measures at Astana Venue Management LLP

A meeting was held at Astana Venue Management LLP to discuss anti-corruption measures.

SPEAKER: The General Director of the partnership, M.T. Khasenov, addressed the suppliers of goods, works, and services under public procurement contracts, as well as the partnership’s employees.

In connection with the preparation of facilities for hosting important state events, the partnership has begun active work on repairing the building, utility networks, and procuring necessary goods.

He reminded attendees of the requirements of anti-corruption legislation and strictly warned the parties to the supply contracts about the inadmissibility of extortion and the provision of illegal remuneration for the acceptance of contract execution.

He stated that should such situations arise, it is necessary to contact him personally, the partnership’s compliance officer, and the Anti-Corruption Service.

The partnership’s compliance officer, D.A. Yakupov, warned employees about the strict observance of the assumed anti-corruption restrictions while performing their official duties.

One of these restrictions is accepting material remuneration, gifts, or services for actions (inaction) in favor of the persons who provided them, if such actions fall within the official authority of the employees.

Citizens usually perceive the term “bribe” solely as the transfer of money to gain an advantage, expedite a service out of turn, or bypass the verification of relevant documents.

Following the meeting (Decisions made):

  1. Ensure zero tolerance for any manifestations of corruption;

  2. Immediately report any manifestations of a corrupt nature or conflicts of interest within the team;

  3. Ensure the high-quality execution of contracts for the supply of goods, works, and services.
