ON PREVENTING ACTIONS THAT MAY LEAD TO THE USE OF OFFICIAL POWERS IN PERSONAL, GROUP AND OTHER NON-OFFICIAL INTERESTS

On 27 June 2022, compliance officer D.A. Yakupov gave a report to the employees of Astana Venue Management LLP on preventing actions that may lead to the use of official powers in personal, group and other non-official interests.

He also noted that it is unacceptable for officials to hold a position in the same department as their close relatives (parents (parent), children, adoptive parents, adopted children, full and half siblings, grandparents, grandchildren), spouses and in-laws (siblings, parents and children of the spouse) or, if the departments are different, a position that is functionally related (through business processes) to positions held by their close relatives.

The speaker noted that such actions lead to a conflict of interest and constitute a violation of anti-corruption legislation.

He also reminded everyone that every Wednesday, from 15:00 to 17:00, the General Director of the Partnership receives employees on personal matters, as well as on proposals for improving the Partnership’s work.

In addition, the main provisions of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Combating Corruption” were explained.
